How "Proof of Human Interaction" actually works

We'd rather tell you plainly than let the name oversell it. During sign-up you complete two things:

  1. A short on-screen code you type in, which also requires your mouse or touch to move on the page — this filters out scripts sending raw form submissions, but it is not biometric verification.
  2. Clicking a confirmation link sent to your email address — this ties the account to an email inbox you actually control.

Together these are a reasonable bar for a pilot. They do not verify you are a specific real person or a unique human being — someone could still repeat this with different email addresses. For anything beyond a pilot, this step should be replaced with a dedicated identity-verification provider.
